Getting started with your Teya Business Account

With a Teya Business Account, you can manage your sales and spending in one place. You’ll get a Teya Business debit card and earn 0.5% cashback every time you use it. You can also create up to 10 virtual cards.

First thing’s first, you’ll need to download the Teya Business app in the App Store or Google Play.

We’ll walk you through how to do everything from ordering your free card to activating it.

Finding your account number and sort code

To find your account number and sort code:

  1. Open the Teya Business app and go to Business Account.

  2. Go to the Info & docs tab.

  3. Under Account details you’ll find your sort code and account number.

Ordering your physical debit card

Follow these steps:

  1. Open the Teya Business app and go to Business Account.

  2. Go to the Cards tab.

  3. Next to Physical, select Order new.

  4. If the delivery address on screen is correct, select Confirm and order.

  5. If it's wrong, select Change address.

  6. Enter the correct address then select Confirm and order.

Your debit card will now be on its way to you and should arrive in approximately 10 working days.

Activating your physical debit card

Once you’ve received your debit card, it's time to activate it: 

  1. Open the Teya Business app and go to Business Account

  2. Go to the Cards tab. 

  3. Select the physical card you want to activate and tap on Activate card.  

  4. Enter the last four digits of your long card number and your Teya Business passcode. 

Your card is now activated. To activate contactless payments, follow the steps below.  

Enabling contactless payments with your physical card

To enable contactless payments, you’ll first need to insert your card into an ATM or card machine and enter your PIN.

You can view your PIN in the app by following these steps:

  1. Open the Teya Business app and go to Business Account.

  2. Go to the Cards tab.

  3. Select the physical card you want to activate and tap Manage.

  4. Select View PIN.

  5. Enter your Teya Business passcode.

You can also make contactless payments using your physical and virtual cards through Google Pay.

Creating virtual cards

You can create up to 10 virtual cards. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the Teya Business app and go to Business Account.

  2. Go to the Cards tab.

  3. Next to Virtual, select Create new.

  4. Add an optional nickname.

  5. Select Create to confirm.

Adding your card to Google Pay

If you’d like to add your Business Account card to Google Pay, you have two options:

Scan with your phone camera

Use your phone camera to scan your physical card into your Google Wallet.

Type your details

Enter the 16-digit card number, expiry date, and CVV of your physical or virtual card into your Google Wallet.

Once you’ve entered your card details, follow the prompts on screen.

Adding your card to Apple Pay

Apple Pay is not currently supported, but we’re working hard to make this available for you.

Start spending and earning cashback

Earn 0.5% cashback on any transactions you make with both your physical and virtual card – including on international transactions.

We don’t charge any additions fees for using your Teya Business debit card abroad. We use the Visa exchange rate, which you can find out more about here.

FAQs

Yes, your money is safe with a Teya Business Account. Teya Solutions Ltd. (no. 978181) is an e-money institution (EMI) authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We’re therefore required to protect and keep our customers’ funds safe.

Teya must comply with the Payment Services Regulations 2017 (PSRs) and the Electronic Money Regulations 2011 (EMRs), requiring us to have appropriate and well-managed safeguarding arrangements. Money that’s safeguarded by Teya can only be used to complete payments made by the customer.

A Teya Business Account is not a bank account, which means the UK’s Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) doesn’t apply.
