Teya POS device – PAX A920 Pro

Teya POS – PAX A920 Pro works exactly like any Android mobile phone. Follow the instructions below to set up this device.
Inserting the paper roll
Make sure the paper roll is correctly inserted and ready to print. The end of the paper roll should be outside the compartment when the cover is closed.
Checking the battery supply
Turn the device over and remove the battery cover by swiping the button on the right of the battery cover.
Remove the battery, check for a charge protector, and remove this tab if required.
Reinsert the battery and close the cover.
Turning the device on/off
The power button can be found on the right-hand side.
Press and hold for a few seconds to turn on or off.
Once you've turned on your device, you'll reach the main screen with icons for several apps.
Checking the battery status
Your device will be dispatched with a fully-charged battery, but the delivery process may affect this.
Check the battery status in the upper right corner of the screen.
If the battery is red, charge it before continuing.
Connect the device to the charger and the power outlet. The charging icon will disappear when the battery is charged above 80%.
Charging your device
Your device can be charged either by using a charging base or by plugging the USB-C charger cable directly into the device and connecting the cable to the power socket. If using a charging base, plug the USB-C cable into the charging base.
Connecting your device to the internet
The device must be connected to the internet. It comes with a GPRS SIM and is automatically connected to the mobile internet. Depending on your location and the conditions, the device can connect to a 4G, 3G, or 2G mobile connection.
For a more stable connection, swipe down from the top of the screen and select the WiFi icon, choose your network, and enter your password.
We highly recommend connecting the device to your Wi-Fi network. It ensures a more stable connection, allowing you to continue taking payments even in busy hours. |
There are two ways of connecting your device to the internet:
Mobile internet.
Wi-Fi connection.
Connecting via SIM card
Slide downwards from the top of the screen.
Press on the mobile internet icon.
You are now connected to mobile internet.
Connecting via Wi-Fi
Slide downwards from the top of the screen.
Select the Wi-Fi icon.
Choose your Wi-Fi network.
Input password, if needed.
Click Connect.
Connected will display on the screen next to your chosen network.
Important: due to potential security issues, avoid connecting your device to public Wi-Fi networks. |
Pairing the card terminal
To begin accepting card payments, you’ll first need to pair the card terminal in the Teya POS app settings.
1. Log in to Teya POS app with your Teya ID credentials.
2. In the main window of the app, select the ≡ Menu button in the top left corner.
3. Go to ⚙️ Settings.
4. Select Payment terminal.
5. Click on + Pair terminal.
6. Your terminal should appear in the search area.
7. Click on the Teya terminal to select it.
7. This will successfully pair the chosen terminal.
