Activating Pay by Link

Pay by Link enables you to accept remote payments by sending your customers a secure payment link. They can pay easily, anytime, anywhere, using their preferred payment method.

Pay By Link becomes available once your account verification is complete. If you registered online, you will need to request this feature after verification. Our team will then review your details and confirm your eligibility.

How do I enable Pay by Link?

Once Pay By Link has been added to your account, turning it on is quick and simple. Here is how to do it:

  1. Tap the Menu icon in the upper right corner.

  2. Select Payment Settings.

  3. Enter your predefined Manager PIN.

  4. Toggle the Pay by Link button to activate the feature.

To disable Pay by Link, simply follow the same steps and toggle the feature off.

Note: Pay By Link accepts American Express. Even if you disable the Additional Schemes feature in your Payment Settings, customers can still make American Express Payments through Pay By Link.

Different Fees may apply for American Express Payments.

Can I change the expiration time of the link?

The standard expiry time for Pay By Link payments created on the card machine is either 30 minutes or 24 hours.
If you create a Pay By Link using the Teya App or Teya Business Portal, you can choose the expiry date and customise it to suit your needs. You can also edit the expiry date of an existing link or cancel a link if it was sent in error.

Once activated, Pay by Link gives your customers a secure and flexible way to pay remotely. You can manage your link settings at any time from your card machine’s Payment Settings menu.
