If you wish to issue a refund, you can do so either directly from the terminal or via the Teya App.
To refund from the terminal, simply follow these steps:
- Tap the Menu located in the upper left corner.
- Select Transactions and Refunds.
- Find the transaction you want to refund by scrolling or using filters, then tap it.
- Press Issue Refund.
- Enter the predefined Manager PIN.
- For a partial refund, enter the specific amount to be refunded. For a full refund, enter the amount of the original transaction.
- Confirm the refund
- If needed, print the receipt.
Your refund has now been issued! For partial refunds, the remaining value of the original transaction will be available for further refunds if needed.
Please keep in mind, that refunds may take up to 7 days to process, depending on the time frame of your customer's bank.
Why do I need to use a Manager PIN to issue a refund?
For security purposes, a Manager PIN is required when issuing refunds to prevent irreversible and unauthorized refund issues.
How can I check a refund status?
To check a refund's status, access the main menu of the Payments App, go to Transactions and Refunds, and search for the transaction in the list.
To issue a refund using the Teya App, please follow these steps:
- Open the app and enter your passcode
- Go to Last Transactions → View All
- Find and tap the transaction
- Click Issue Refund
- Choose total or partial refund amount
- Confirm with biometric authentication or passcode
