If you wish to issue a refund using your mobile app, you can easily do so by following these steps:
- Open the Teya App on your mobile phone.
- Sign in using your Teya ID credentials if required.
- Tap the Transactions button located at the top of the screen.
- Find the transaction you want to refund by scrolling or using filters, then tap on it.
- Press Issue Refund.
- Enter the amount you wish to refund.
- Press Issue Refund again.
- Enter the predefined App Passcode.
- Verify if the refund was successful.
If you don’t see the green pop-up, check if the transaction status has changed from Payment Approved to Refund Approved or Payment Void. If it has, then your refund was successful and has been issued.
For partial refunds, the remaining value of the original transaction will be available for further refunds if needed. Please keep in mind that refunds may take up to 7 days to process, depending on your customer's bank.
Why do I need to use the Teya App passcode to issue a refund?
For security purposes, the App Passcode is required when issuing refunds to prevent unauthorized and irreversible refund transactions.
