Sales Overview is an enhanced terminal feature designed to give you a quick, summarised view of your sales performance. Replacing the previous Summaries feature, Sales Overview aims to streamline your daily operations and provide easy access to important insights.
How can my team and I effectively use the Sales Overview?
To get started, we recommend taking the guided tour in the Teya App. You can access it any time by clicking on “See FAQs” in the Sales Overview.
Here are four main ways you can use the Sales Overview:
- Track your daily sales: Open Sales Overview anytime in your day to see a summary of today’s sales from your opening hours (your Default Starting time).
- Record shifts for your staff: Your staff can log sales made during their shifts. Read more below in the section called "How do I use Sales Overview for shifts?".
- Review past sales activity: Use the time picker to view sales data from any previous period on any terminal in your store.
- Get a physical record of your Sales activity: when you ‘Save’ on Sales Overview (whether manually ot automatically), you can print off a physical record of the sales activity during that time period.
If your card machine has 15% or less battery, the Sales Overview will not be printed out. Please ensure the device has enough battery or connect it to a charger and try again. |
Using Sales Overview for your store’s closure processes
Sales Overview enhances the closure functionality by bringing together flexibility and control. You can easily perform automated daily closures, as the Terminal auto-saves daily transactions every 24 hours at the Default Starting Time, which you can customise in the Sales Overview settings to match your store’s opening hours. You can access the Auto-Saves in the history section. You also have the option to disable this feature if needed.
Note that the Auto-Save only saves a record for that specific terminal. To get a record for multiple terminals, you need to press ‘Save to History’ and select all terminals you’re interested in. |
Alternatively, you can close the day manually yourself. You can perform a manual save for any time period, by selecting this on the time picker at the top, and pressing ‘save to history’.
Using Sales Overview to record shifts
Sales Overview makes it easy for your staff to record sales during their shifts:
- Set the time range: Adjust the time range to match the shift duration.
- Save the shift: Click on “Save to history” to log the shift data - you can print this off as well, to get a physical record.
- Set up an automatic time for the following shift: The start time automatically updates to the end of the last shift, ready for the next shift who just needs to press ‘Save to History’ when they’re done.
How can I see a breakdown per card type?
The Sales Overview displays a breakdown by card brand, showing the number of transactions and total sales for each. Teya customers based in Czechia, Slovakia, and Hungary will also be able to view the splits by Meal Voucher provider.
Where can I access my previous closures from the “Summaries” feature?
All closures made in the last 30 days in “Summaries” are automatically transferred to the History section of Sales Overview. You can also use the time picker to review past sales during any period.
Previously, I requested a change to my Summaries' closure time. Will I need to do this again?
No, your previously set closure time has been automatically converted into your default starting time in Sales Overview. You can adjust this time freely in the Settings.
Why does the amount settled in my account differ from the sales I see in Sales Overview?
The figures shown in Sales Overview are gross sales, and exclude fees. Moreover, Teya’s settlement period might also differ from the sales time period you have selected in the time picker.
