Sending and Receiving Money with a Teya Business Account

With a Teya Business Account, you can send and receive money just as you would with a regular account. You can transfer money to other accounts, share your details to receive bank transfers, and set up Direct Debits for recurring payments.  

We will walk you through how to do all the above in this guide.  

Transferring money to a bank account 

To send money from your Business Account to another account: 

  1. Open the Teya app and go to Accounts and select Transfers
  2. Select the recipient. If the recipient is new, create it first;
  3. Click Send money;
  4. Type the amount and add a reference, then click Continue;
  5. Review the details and Transfer.  

Setting up a Direct Debit 

When setting up a Direct Debit from a third-party site, enter your sort code and account number.  

To edit or cancel, please do so on the third-party site itself.  

If you are unable to cancel your Direct Debit on the third-party site, you can contact us via in-app chat or contact us through the other available channels. We can only help with cancelling a Direct Debit, not editing.  

To find your account details, you can either: 

  1. Click on Add money and select Account details, or 
  2. On the top right, click on the Settings icon; select Business Information and scroll to see the bank account details. 

Receiving money from a bank account 

To receive money in your Business Account from another account, you simply need to share your account number and sort code with the sender.  

To find your account details, you can either: 

  1. Click on Add money and select Account details, or 
  2. On the top right, click on the Settings icon; select Business Information and scroll to see the bank account details.   

You can view and copy your Company name, Sort code and Account number individually, or click on Share details to share the whole information.
