This guide walks you through the steps to pair your Teya card machine with your Firstware EPOS system using the Teya integration.
Before You Start
Ensure the following is completed before beginning setup:
Contact Firstware Support to update your ePOS system for Teya compatibility;
Your Teya card machine is activated and connected to the internet (via Wi-Fi or 4G);
The card machine is set to Pay at Counter mode;
You have access to your Teya ID;
Your mobile device is available to scan a QR code during setup
Set Up the Teya Card Machine
Ensure the card machine is powered on and connected to the internet;
On the card machine, go to Menu > POS Integration;
Enable Integration Mode (Pay at Counter).
The card machine will now display a locked screen with the Teya logo and a settings icon, indicating it's ready to pair.
Connect Your Teya Account
On the Firstware ePOS till, log in to the Back Office using your user code and passcode;
Under the Teya section, press Authenticate;
A QR code will appear on the screen. Use your mobile device to scan it;
On your phone, log in using your Teya ID;
Confirm the pairing on your phone. Once complete, you’ll be returned to the ePOS screen.
Select Your Store
In the ePOS Back Office, press Get Store Lists;
Use the dropdown menu to select the store you want to pair the card machine with. If you only have one store, it will be selected automatically.
Select the Card Machine
After selecting your store, choose the card machine from the Terminal dropdown list;
Confirm that the serial number appearing on the screen matches the physical card machine in use;
Once verified, press Close to complete the pairing process.
Perform a Test Sale
On your till, add a product or enter a custom amount;
Press the Card button located at the bottom right of the screen;
The card machine will display the transaction amount and prompt the customer for payment;
The till will show a Processing Sale message while the transaction is completed.
