Connecting your Shopify store to Teya

This guide shows you how to install and configure the Teya plugin for Shopify. Setup is fast, secure, and requires no coding.

Install the Teya plugin

  • Download the Shopify plugin here.

  • Click Install app.

  • Log in to your Shopify store to authorise the installation.

Connect to your Shopify store to Teya

  • In Shopify, go to Apps and click Teya Payments.

  • Under Account setup, click Connect with Teya.

  • Sign in with your Teya ID.

  • Choose or confirm the Teya store you want to link.

  • Click Connect.

  • When the confirmation appears, close the window to return to Shopify.

Configure your payment settings

  • In Shopify, open Settings and click Payments.

  • Locate Teya Payments.

  • Enable Test mode to try out the payment flow. Don’t forget to disable it when you’re ready to go live!

You are now ready to accept payments!

Optional settings

In Apps under Teya Payments, you can adjust checkout behaviour:

  • Customer redirection

    • Default → Redirect customers back to your store for confirmation.

    • Alternative → Show a Teya confirmation page with receipt download option.

  • Email confirmations 

    • Receive a purchase confirmation email for every successful transaction.

Migrating from Securepay?

If you're already using the plugin with Securepay, you can switch to the new Hosted Checkout by clicking Connect with Teya in the plugin settings. This will update the flow to use our new experience just by signing in as described above.
