Printing Receipts Troubleshooting

Updated

Welcome to Teya's troubleshooting guide for printing receipts on your card machine. If you are experiencing difficulties with this feature, don't worry! Below, you will find step-by-step instructions to address common concerns before seeking specialist assistance.

Battery running lower than 10%

The most frequent reason for card machines failing to print receipts is low battery power. If your device has 10% battery remaining or less, it will interrupt receipt printing until recharged.

Look for the battery status indicator in the upper right corner of the screen. If the battery icon appears red, the device needs charging.

  1. Gather your card machine and the USB-C cable

  2. Plug the USB-C charger cable directly into the device

  3. Connect the cable to a power socket

  4. Allow the card machine to charge until reaching 100%

Misplaced Til Roll

Occasionally, the receipt printing issue (not printing or printing blank) arises from incorrectly inserted till rolls.

  1. Locate the printer cover lever at the back of your card machine

  2. Lift the lever to unlock and open the printer cover

  3. Verify the till roll’s position, ensuring that the paper unrolls from the back with the shiny side up

  4. If the paper roll is misplaced, remove it

  5. Reinsert the roll, ensuring it unrolls from the back and leave about 5 cm (2 inches) of paper beyond the printer’s cutter

  6. Close the printer cover securely and remove any excess paper

Tip: When you remove the roll, you will find an illustration on the paper tray guiding you on correctly inserting the new roll. If you're unsure, always refer to this illustration for daily operations guidance.
