Teya Tap - App troubleshooting

If you notice your Teya Tap app isn’t working the way you expect, these tips will help you quickly get back to accepting payments.

Update your Teya Business app to the latest version

  1. Open Google Play and look for Teya Business app.

  2. Check if the app status is set on “Update”; if yes, click on it.

Troubleshoot your mobile device

  • Head to your phone settings and check that your phone is running on the most updated version.

  • Check that your phone has internet connection, either through Wi-Fi or mobile data (such as 4G).

  • Make sure the required settings are enabled for Teya Tap:

    • Location

    • Camera

    • NFC

  • Make sure the Developer mode is not active

Once you checked the above, you can also try:

  • Log out and login again into the app.

  • Force quit the app - head into Settings > Application > Manage Applications and look for the Teya Business app.

  • Delete and reinstall the app.

  • Switch your phone off and switch it on again.

  • Make sure that the date and time on your device are correct.

Deleting and reinstalling the app will have no impact on your Teya account or recorded payments. Once reinstalled the app, simply log back into your account with your existing Teya credentials.
