Teya Online Payments allows you to accept secure payments remotely, whether you run a webstore or want to send payment links directly to customers. This guide explains the features available and how to activate online selling for your business.
What you can do with Online Payments
Adding this subscription enables you to accept card payments remotely while keeping all your sales data in one place.
- Webstore integrations: Connect your Shopify or WooCommerce site directly to Teya.
- Pay by Link: Create secure payment links from the Teya App, Business Portal, or Card Machine and send them to customers via email or messaging apps.
- Hosted Checkout: Offer customers a secure payment page that supports Apple Pay, Google Pay, and 3DS security checks.
- Unified tracking: View and manage all online and in-store sales from the Teya App and the Business Portal.
Eligibility and account requirements
Online payments require a separate store
To meet security and compliance regulations, your e-commerce payments must be managed in a separate "store" profile from your card machine payments.
- Teya creates this additional store for you at no extra cost.
- This new store sits under your existing Teya Account.
- You can switch between profiles in the app by tapping the company toggle at the top of the screen to view separate reporting for in-person sales and online sales.
How to activate Online Payments
If you meet the six-month eligibility requirement, follow these steps to add the subscription:
- Contact support and request activation: Ask to add "Online Payments" to your account.
- Verification: Our team will create your new online store profile, and we may request additional information about your business or yourself to complete the setup.
- Confirmation: Once registration is complete, you are ready to start accepting online payments.
Integration options
Webstore Plugins
If you have a Shopify or WooCommerce website, you can process payments directly through Teya.
- How it works: Your customers shop as usual. When they are ready to pay, they are redirected briefly to the secure Teya Checkout page.
- Result: Teya collects the card data, processes the Payment securely, and returns the customer to your website.
Pay by Link
You do not need a website to sell online. You can use Pay by Link to collect remote payments.
- How it works: Generate a link from your card machine or the Teya App/Portal. Send it to your customer.
- Result: The customer clicks the link to pay on a hosted page. The completed Payment appears immediately in your Teya App, Business Portal and on your terminal.
