You can connect your Teya Business Account to supported accounting tools to help automate your bookkeeping. Once connected, we sync your Business Account transactions with your accounting platform so your records stay up to date with less manual work.
Supported accounting platforms
You can currently connect your Teya Business Account with the following accounting platforms:
- Xero
- QuickBooks
We plan to support more accounting tools in the future. If you use a different platform, you can still keep your books up to date by exporting your Business Account transactions as a CSV file and uploading them manually to your accounting tool.
Before you start
-
Update the Teya app: Make sure you have the Teya app updated to the most recent version from the app store.
- Have your login details ready: You will need to sign in to your Xero or QuickBooks account to complete the connection.
Connect to Xero
Follow these steps to connect your Teya Business Account to Xero:
-
Open the Teya app and go to Explore or Settings.
-
Go to Accounting Integrations from the menu and select Xero.
-
Follow the steps in the flow to connect your Business Account to your Xero organisation.
-
Choose how far back to sync transactions. Towards the end of the flow, you can choose how long in the past you want your Business Account transactions to sync, with a maximum of 1 year in the past.
After you connect to Xero
-
View integration details: Once connected, you can see more details on the integration by going to Explore or Settings in the Teya app, and then Accounting Integrations.
-
Real‑time syncing: We sync all your account transactions in real time. As soon as a transaction is completed on your Teya Business Account, we try to sync it with your accounting platform.
-
Remove the Xero connection: If you wish to remove the Xero connection, you can choose Remove connection in the Teya app.
Xero connection expiry and re‑authorisation
Once established, your Xero connection is valid for 90 days.
-
We will notify you a few days before the connection is about to expire.
-
You can re‑authorise the connection when you receive the reminder. After you re‑authorise, the connection will be renewed for another 90 days.
-
If you do not re‑authorise the connection before the 90 days pass, the connection will expire, but you can reconnect at any time later by following the same connection steps.

For Xero, use Remove connection in the Teya app.
