Using the Teya Catalogue across your devices

You can use your Catalogue on your Teya Card Machine, the Teya App on your mobile device, or the Business Portal on your computer. This guide explains how to get started and helps you choose the right setup for your daily operations.

Where you can use the Catalogue

You can access your Catalogue across three different platforms, each designed to help you run your business smoothly.

  • Teya Card Machine: The Teya Payment app comes pre-installed on every Teya Card Machine. This provides full selling functionality on a single device, allowing you to ring up a sale, take the Payment, and print the receipt directly from the counter.
  • Teya App (iPhone, iPad, or Android): This downloadable companion app brings the full selling experience to your personal phone or tablet. If your device has NFC, you can take Payments directly using Tap to Pay. Alternatively, you can connect the app to your Teya Card Machine to print receipts. The app also features a chat-based AI assistant to help with bulk edits and sales questions.
  • Business Portal (web): Accessed via a laptop or desktop computer, the Business Portal is the best place to manage your Catalogue, bulk-edit prices, restructure categories, and read your reports. Please note that the Business Portal does not take sales.

Activating your Catalogue

If you don’t use an integrated EPOS system, you can use Catalogue at no extra cost. It’s already included in your account, so you won’t need a separate subscription.

How to open your Catalogue for the first time:

  1. Open the Teya Payment app on your Teya Card Machine, or download the Teya App on your smartphone or tablet.
  2. Sign in using your standard Teya login details.
  3. Tap on the Catalogue icon to launch the setup wizard.
  4. Follow the brief on-screen steps to choose how you want to build your menu (using the AI import tool or manually) and decide whether you need to track VAT.

Tip: We recommend using the Business Portal on a laptop when setting up your Catalogue for the first time. The larger screen makes it much easier to enter multiple items at once and review any AI menu suggestions.

Hardware and software integrations

Teya provides the Card Machine that runs your Catalogue and prints your receipts. You can also run the Teya App on most recent iOS and Android devices. A tablet mounted on a countertop stand often provides the easiest menu-review experience for your staff.
