You can deposit cash directly into your Teya Business Account at over 28,000 PayPoint locations across the UK. This service allows you to add funds securely using a barcode generated in your Teya app, removing the need to visit a bank branch.
Finding a location
You can deposit cash at any convenience shop, post office, or retailer that displays the PayPoint logo and supports cash deposits.

How to make a deposit
Follow these steps to generate your secure barcode and complete the transaction.
- Open the Teya App.
- In the Home section or the Money section, tap the + icon.
- Tap Cash deposit.
- Enter the amount you want to deposit. You can also check the deposit limits here.
- Tap Generate barcode.
- The app will create a unique barcode for your deposit.
- Go to your chosen PayPoint location and show the barcode to the staff member.
- Hand over your cash to complete the deposit.
Fees and limits
There are specific limits on how much cash you can deposit. You can make multiple deposits in a single day as long as you stay within these limits.
- Fee per deposit: £2
- Limit per transaction: £500
- Monthly limit (sole traders): £5,000
- Monthly limit (limited companies): £10,000
You can make multiple deposits in a single day, provided each individual deposit does not exceed £500 and your total deposits do not exceed your monthly limit (£5,000 for sole traders or £10,000 for limited companies).
Note: This feature is available for cash only. You cannot use it to deposit cheques into your Teya Business Account.
Checking your deposit status
Funds normally appear in your Teya Business Account within 10 minutes of paying at the store.
On the Teya App:
- Open the Teya App and tap Money in the bottom navigation bar.
- Tap Activity at the top of the screen.
- Check your Transactions list for a cash deposit that matches the amount and time of your visit. To narrow the results, tap Type and select Cash deposits.
On the Business Portal:
- Log in to the Business Portal.
- In the left sidebar, select Activity under Money.
- Authenticate on the Teya App and go back to the Business Portal.
- Check your Transactions list for a cash deposit that matches the amount and time of your visit. To narrow the results, tap Type and select Cash deposits.
If you added your Teya Business Account during your initial registration, you must fully complete the verification process before you can start sending money.
