Which online payment option is right for me?

Teya gives you four ways to take online payments: Pay by Link, Hosted Checkout, the Webstore plugin, and Embedded Components. The right option depends on how you sell, whether you already have a website or webstore, and how much you want to build yourself.

Hosted Checkout

  • How it works:

    • your developer creates a checkout session using Teya’s API

    • when your customer is ready to pay, you send them to Teya’s secure checkout page

  • What you need:

    • an Online Payments Subscription

    • a developer to set it up

Webstore plugin

  • How it works:

    • install the Teya plugin

    • sign in with your Teya ID

    • select your store

    • your customers pay through Teya’s secure Hosted Checkout experience

  • What you need:

    • no custom development for setup

Embedded Components

  • How it works:

Which option should I choose?

You can usually choose your option based on how you sell:

  • If you do not have a website, choose Pay by Link.

  • If you use Shopify or WooCommerce, choose the Webstore plugin.

  • If you have your own site or app and want a simpler setup, choose Hosted Checkout.

  • If you have your own site or app and want the checkout to stay on your page, choose Embedded Components.
