Understanding Webstore plugins

The Teya Webstore plugin allows you to easily accept online payments on your Shopify or WooCommerce store. This guide explains how the plugin works, what you can configure, and how to set it up. It is designed for merchants who want a simple, code-free way to connect their E-commerce website to Teya.

How the plugin works

When a customer reaches the checkout on your Shopify or WooCommerce store, the plugin directs them to a secure Teya checkout page to complete their Payment. Once the Payment is successful, the customer returns to your store, and the order is marked as paid in your system.

Configuration options

You can customise several settings to suit your business needs.

Important: You can configure the following features directly within the plugin settings:

  • Store connection: Choose which Teya store the plugin connects to. This is useful if you operate multiple E-commerce stores.

  • Redirect behaviour: Decide whether to show the Teya confirmation page after a Payment or send the customer straight back to your own success page.

  • Email notifications: Set up automatic emails to your chosen address every time a Payment succeeds.

  • Checkout appearance: Add your logo, terms and conditions, privacy policy, and a merchant note to the Teya hosted checkout page.

Managing refunds

When you refund an order in your Shopify or WooCommerce admin panel, the refund flows back to Teya automatically. You do not need to take any extra steps to process the refund in the Teya system.

What it costs

The Webstore plugin is completely free to install and use. You only pay for the transactions you process, which are charged at your standard Teya card-not-present rates.
