Pair your Teya terminal with Firstware ePOS

This guide explains how to link your Teya card machine with your Firstware ePOS system. Completing this integration allows your till to send transaction amounts directly to your Card Machine, reducing manual entry errors and speeding up payments.

Before you start

Ensure you have completed the following requirements before attempting to pair your devices:

  • Update your system: Contact Firstware Support to confirm your ePOS system is updated for Teya compatibility.
  • Check connectivity: Ensure your card machine is powered on and connected to the internet via Wi-Fi or 4G.

Prepare your card machine

First, you must set your card machine to the correct integration mode so it is ready to receive a connection signal.

  1. Turn on your card machine and ensure it is connected to the internet.
  2. Select Menu on the main screen.
  3. Select POS Integration.
  4. Click on External ePOS integrations.
  5. Enable Cloud Communication.

The screen will now lock and display the Teya logo with a settings icon. This confirms the card machine is ready to pair.

Connect your Teya account

Once the card machine is ready, go to your Firstware ePOS till to complete the connection.

Authenticate your account

  1. Log in to the Back Office on your ePOS till using your user code and passcode.
  2. Locate the Teya section and select Authenticate.
  3. A QR code will appear on the till screen.

Scan and confirm

  1. Scan the QR code using your smartphone or tablet camera.
  2. Log in to the page that opens on your phone using your Teya ID.
  3. Confirm the pairing on your phone.
  4. Once confirmed, return to the ePOS screen.

Select your store and card machine

Now that your account is authenticated, you must tell the ePOS which specific device to use.

  1. In the ePOS Back Office, select Get Store Lists.
  2. Use the dropdown menu to select the store you want to pair. If you have only one store, this will be selected automatically.
  3. Select your specific device from the Terminal dropdown list.
  4. Check the serial number shown on the screen and ensure it matches the serial number on your physical card machine.
  5. Select Close to finish the pairing process.

Take a test payment

We recommend performing a small test sale to ensure everything is working correctly.

  1. Add a product or enter a custom amount on your till.
  2. Select the Card button at the bottom right of the screen.
  3. Check your card machine; it should light up and display the transaction amount.
  4. The till will show a Processing Sale message while the payment is completed.
