Pair your Teya terminal with StrataPOS

This guide explains how to integrate your StrataPOS system with your Teya Card Machine. Connecting these devices allows you to send transaction amounts directly from your till to the terminal, reducing manual entry errors and speeding up checkout.

Before you start

Ensure you have the following ready before beginning the setup:

• Software version: Your StrataPOS system must be running version 1.21.3 or later.
• Check connectivity: Ensure your card machine is powered on and connected to the internet via Wi-Fi or 4G.

Prepare your card machine

First, you must set your card machine to the correct integration mode so it is ready to receive a connection signal.

1. Turn on your card machine and ensure it is connected to the internet.
2. Select Menu on the main screen.
3. Select POS Integration.
4. Click on External ePOS integrations.
5. Enable Cloud Communication.

The screen will now lock and display the Teya logo with a settings icon. This confirms the card machine is ready to pair.

Connect your Teya account

Follow these steps on your StrataPOS system to begin the integration process.

1. Open the menu: On your StrataPos, navigate to the System Menu.
2. Select integration type: Select Credit Card Integration.
3. Enable integration: Choose Integrated Mode.
4. Verify admin access: Confirm the last four digits of your store admin code when prompted.
5. Choose provider: From the Payment Provider dropdown menu, select Teya.
6. Start registration: Select Register Payment Provider.
7. Log in: A browser window will open. Enter your Teya credentials to authenticate the connection. The POS will proceed automatically once this is confirmed.

Select your store and card machine

Once your account is authenticated, you must select the specific hardware you want to use.

1. Select store: Choose your specific store from the dropdown list.
2. Pair hardware: Select the specific Teya card machine you wish to pair with this till.

Take a test payment

When the devices are paired, you can initiate transactions directly from the POS.

1. Start transaction: On StrataPos, select Credit Card.
2. Send amount: Select Take Payment. The transaction total will automatically appear on your Teya card machine screen.
3. Complete payment: Present the card machine to the customer to tap or insert their card and complete the sale.
